“Ride bicycle for great life”
Inspiring words to live by, from this Japanese couple I met on the ferry from dieppe this weekend while cycling from Paris to London with Techbikers. They have spent the last five and a half years cycling around the world visiting over 84 countries, covering 97,762km so far.
Ryohei Oguchi (Rio), was a financial planner in Japan, who left it all behind to pursue his university dream of cycling around the world. Discussing his incredible journey Rio stated “I kept holding it in my heart and it happened. Every day I enjoy cycling and I talk with and meet many people and I can see many beautiful sceneries.”
They are currently on route from London to Ireland, before heading to the South of France, Spain, Portugal and then Morocco. Rio hopes to travel for another 2 to 3 years covering West Africa, and the Americas.
If you see this incredible couple on their journey stop and buy them a coffee – I guarantee you will be as inspired by their story as I was.
