The White Sea is a southern inlet of the Barents Sea located on the northwest coast of Russia. In february it is not uncommon for the average temperature in this polar climet to sit at a chilly –15 °C. However under the surface of the freezing water live a number of spectacular jellyfish.
Diver Alexander Semenov took the plunge into these freezing waters to capture these amazing creatures.
